Solutions Architect (Glasgow) - Hybrid Working (Office/Home)

Our Global client is looking for TWO Solutions Architects to be based in Glasgow on a 24 months Fixed Term Contract (FTC).  All FTC employees are entitled to full Benefits and holidays as permanent employees.

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Architecture Team to design, document and facilitate the implementation of the Client’s application, technology and enterprise architectures through the various IT teams and technology partners. These IT Architectures must support the overall business strategy. This role reports to the Head of Enterprise Architecture.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience with Environments (Prod,UAT,Dev,Test)
  • Experience around data centre components (Servers, Storage, Networks)
  • Experience with any automation technologies
  • Demonstrate good experience in the IT industry with expertise in many areas of infrastructure and applications, preferably in a technical or enterprise architecture capacity
  • Experience with enterprise application architecture
  • Have demonstrable experience in design, strategy, and architecture related activities
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of IT industry trends, suppliers, and products, preferably in the legal sector
  • Experience with sizing, performance, and high availability
  • Experience with data backup, business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and technologies
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies:
  • Windows 10, O365, MS Azure
  • Any knowledge of integration technologies
  • TOGAF certification

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including active listening
  • Ability to identify and analyse alternative approaches to dealing with issues and problems.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the firm's values
  • Ability to influence and persuade others outside his/her direct control
  • Exhibit confidence in dealing with various levels of the organisation both within the Client’s business and the business units, including executive management levels.
