Working exclusively with our client, we are looking for an experienced Service Desk Team Leader / Manager to join an expanding and forward-thinking IT solutions company. Headquartered in Fife, they offer services over a broad range of disciplines including IT Support, Cloud Applications Development, Digital Services, Telecoms, and Managed IT Services.

Service Desk Manager / Team Leader

To assist with:

  • Management of Service Desk resources to address remote fixes and site work as required.
  • Management of overall Service Desk ticket volumes to ensure SLAs are met
  • Management of Service Desk ticket volumes to identify continuous improvement possibilities, proactive management, root cause analysis etc 
  • Providing 2nd /3rd level Helpdesk support
  • Providing IT Consultancy knowledge and expertise
  • Maintenance of Client IT infrastructure
  • Mentoring designated Technical Team personnel when appropriate
  • Contribution to skills analysis and training needs requirements of Technical Team
  • Any other duties associated with the position held 

 Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • A good level of literacy and mathematical ability is required for this position.
  • A degree in IT related subject or MCSA/MCSE is preferred.

 Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years of working in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience of Operating Systems across different platforms is essential.
  • Experience of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare is important
  • Experience with Networking/WAN’s/Telecoms is important.
  • Experience of common desktop applications (e.g. Word, Excel) is essential.
  • Experience of team management/project management is important.
