Our international client is based in Glasgow city centre. They have a 12-months Fixed Term Contract (FTC) for a Senior SQL Server DBA (& Server Engineer). Our client employs over 3,000 staff in 17 countries. They are offering an excellent salary and benefits package, as you would expect from a Global business.
As a Database Administrator (DBA) you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the database. You will be involved in the planning and development of databases, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of users. In addition, you will provide strategic guidance, development and support of the company's Database infrastructure. In addition, you will provide 4th level operational support and act as an escalation point for database problems. It is envisaged that the role will be 70% SQL focussed and 30% Server Engineer focussed, covering both 'business as usual' (BAU) tasks and project implementation.
