We are working exclusively with our client based in Fife, who have a permanent position for a Senior IT 3rd Line Support Engineer to join the Service Desk team. This is not a remote based position and will require working from the office in Fife. Responsibilities will include: -

  • Providing IT Consultancy knowledge and expertise

  • Maintenance of Client IT infrastructure

  • Installation of IT infrastructure

  • Scoping of IT bids/proposals in conjunction with Account Management/Helpdesk

  • Providing Helpdesk support

  • Field Technical Support

  • Mentoring designated Technical Team personnel when appropriate

  • Project Management

  • Contribution to skills analysis and training needs requirements of Technical Team

  • Any other duties associated with the position held

Minimum Experience Requirement(s):

  • At least 5 years of working in a 3rd Line Support role is essential.

  • Experience of Operating Systems across different platforms is essential.

  • Experience of basic customer training in common applications (e.g. Word, Excel) is essential.

  • Good knowledge of MS Exchange & Firewalls troubleshooting.

  • Experience of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare is important

  • Experience with Networking/WAN’s/Telecoms is important.

  • Experience within an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment a distinct advantage.
  • Direct experience of team management/project management is important.
