We are working exclusively with our client based in Central Fife, who have a permanent position for a Senior IT 2nd Line Support Engineer to join the Service Desk team.
Responsibilities will include: -

Providing Helpdesk support and IT Consultancy knowledge and expertise
-
Maintenance and Installation of Client IT infrastructure
-
The ability to work to a First-Time-Fix framework (up to 2nd line support)

The ability to escalate issues to 3rd Line, whilst maintaining ownership of the ticket
-
Field Technical support when required
-
Project Management
-
Contribution to skills analysis and training needs requirements of Technical Team
-
Any other duties associated with the position held
Minimum Experience Requirement(s):
-
At least 5 years of working in a 2nd Line IT Support role is essential.

Experience of Operating Systems across different platforms is essential.
-
Experience of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare is important
-
Experience with Networking/WAN’s/Telecoms is important.
-
Experience of basic customer training in common applications (e.g. Word, Excel) is an important.
-
Direct experience of team management/project management is important.
-
Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) would be a distinct advantage.
