Working exclusively with our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Support (3rd Line) Engineer to join an expanding and forward-thinking IT solutions company. Headquartered in Fife, they offer services over a broad range of disciplines including IT Support, Cloud Applications Development, Digital Services, Telecoms, and Managed IT Services.

 

Location: All roles are based out of the Fife Service Centre, but servicing clients across Scotland, this is a broad role and is predominantly based around supporting Microsoft Server and desktop product suites for our clients across Scotland.

Responsibilities and experience required: -

  • Supporting client systems over the phone, remotely and on-site.
  • Maintenance, configuration and installation of mobile devices, computers, servers and other network devices and printers.
  • Configuring and monitoring data backup systems and performing restores.
  • Setting up, managing and troubleshooting all services which the Company supplies.
  • Making recommendations to clients and preparing proposals.
  • Planning, organising and prioritising tasks and projects.
  • Working within a small team or individually based on project and task requirements
  • Maintaining all records; documentations and inventory information regards the client’s systems.
  • A willingness to learn additional subjects and technologies.
  • On-site visits to our client base will be required.
  • Other tasks as reasonably required.

Minimum Experience Requirement(s):

  • 5 years of working in a 3rd Line IT Support role is essential.
  • Microsoft Hyper-v support and administration
  • VMWare (ESXi) support and administration
  • Linux (Centos / Ubuntu) support and administration
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2022
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Windows 10/11
  • MCSA or MCP accreditation
  • Basic TCP/IP and DNS Knowledge, wired and wireless technologies.
  • Experience working with or for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a distinct advantage.
  • Full Driving Licence is also required
