Network Engineer - Glasgow & Strathclyde

Our international client is based in Glasgow city centre. They have a 12-months Fixed Term Contract (FTC) for Network Engineers. Our client employs over 3,000 staff in 17 countries. They are offering an excellent salary and benefits package, as you would expect from a Global business.

The Network Engineer cover the day-to-day 'business as usual' (BAU) tasks to support backend IT systems. You will provide hands-on 3rd Line Operational Support for the entire company's network infrastructure, as well as providing implementation support on any new systems or technologies.

This role requires essential skills in certain areas: -

• Troubleshooting skills of complex network, system, and/or security problems
• Design & implementation of multi-site LANs and WANs
• Cisco - switching, Nexus 3K & 9K, Prime
• Routing protocols incl. BGP \ EIGRP \ OSPF
• Wireless technologies using Aruba
• Firewall technology - Palo alto \ Fortinet
• Network security to implement tLayer7 technologies
• Riverbed / Steelhead WAN accelerators
• MPLS & VPN networks
• Implementing QoS and troubleshooting issues with Cisco
• Solarwinds NPM & NTA
• F5 LTM, GTM, APM and BIG-IP client
