Job Description Summary

  • Perform Backup and Recovery of customer's data & systems in a distributed or cloud environment.
  • Implementation, administration and configuration of cyber resiliency and replication technologies, including backup servers, media servers, tape library both physical and virtual libraries, cloud containers.
  • Participation in Disaster Recovery exercises planning and Disaster Recovery execution.
  • Assess backup environment for identifying pain points and translate into opportunities.
  • Recover customer data and perform business continuity services.
  • Perform problem diagnosis and root cause analysis of the backup and recovery environments.
  • Apply knowledge on automation.
  • Perform Incident Recovery Services.
  • Manage and operate IT hardware, software, communications for Hybrid Platform Recovery Services (Backup as a Service (BaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) & Cyber Resilience as a Service (CRaaS)), and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products.
  • Prepare for new or changed services, manage the change process, and follow regulatory, legal, and professional standards, manage performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance.

Required Skills and mostly extensive experience

  • Designing solutions which comply with of up-to-date UKI Regulatory requirements e.g., PRA SS1/21 ‘Operational Resilience: Impact Tolerances of Important Business Services’.
  • Designing solutions which comply of up-to-date EU Regulatory requirements e.g., Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA).
  • Designing solutions which comply NIST CSF Respond and Recover domains.
  • Designing solutions for full application stack recovery within defined RPO/RTO.
  • Providing resilience architect support to business transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Advise customers on disaster recovery best practice, identification of their Minimal Viable Company application platforms and associated business impact tolerances, and the ability to map these to the supporting infrastructure and foundational services.
  • Designing solutions for backup or resiliency solution to achieve customers business impact tolerances to support requirements to minimise data loss of Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Development of technical recovery procedures for both system failovers or data recovery.  Experience of planning and supporting enterprise testing of recovery test for both failover and data recovery.
  • One or more Cloud Service Provide Professional certifications, e.g. Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialty, Google Cloud Security Engineer, Google Cloud Architect.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Ability to lead projects from start to finish and work independently.
  • Open Group certification.
  • Experience of developing long term architectural strategies.
  • One or more security certifications, e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP or CCSK.
